Completion Circulating Valve.

The Completion Circulating Valve (CCV) is a sliding sleeve that is run above the upper completion hydraulic packer. The CCV can be deployed above any packer and is run closed to allow for tubing tests and hydraulic packer setting.

Once the barrier packer is set, the operator can pressure test the tubing against the closed CCV. Applying a pre-determined increased annulus pressure then bursts a rupture disk to open communication ports to circulate between the tubing and the annulus and vice versa.

Once the tool is open, tubing fluid is then circulated out to a lighter fluid to allow the well to flow naturally. The valve is then closed by applying either a predetermined pressure for a pre-set time period or allowed to close off using a pre-programmed timer.

A remote signal is sent to close the valve. Once the signal is received at the tool, a trigger opens a port to an atmospheric chamber to actuate a piston. This operation drives the tool to the closed position and the valve is positively locked closed.

The CCV has full mechanical redundancy with a standard mechanical shifting tool in the event that it is not possible to activate the remote activation module. The closing sleeve of the valve incorporates an industry standard shifting profile.

The Completion Circulating Valve has great flexibility as all of the operational parameters are fully adjustable up until deployment.
