Fishing Tool Gauge.
The Omega Fishing Tool Gauge was developed due to a request from wireline personnel directly involved in a wireline fishing campaign in the UK sector. Being able to accurately test fishing tools such as Wireline Grabs, Wire Finders as well as Heavy Duty Pulling Tools etc prior to deployment provided a valuable means of reducing mis-runs and potential NPT.
Reducing time spent during fishing operations has direct financial impact. Having the ability to carry out tool preparation, along with the physical verification of tool OD’s within known ID’s of the well completion, at or above the target depth for the fishing operations helps reduce this financial impact.
Fishing Tool Gauges can be tailored to any offshore installation Tubing ID requirement. The compact design allows for the Fishing Tool Gauge to be used in a wireline tool shack on the drill floor or similar areas where wireline activities are being under taken. Each Tool Gauge is stamped according to the tubing weight it is simulating for ease of identification. All the Tool Gauges are contained within the outer Tool Gauge and capped at either end.
