Omega Completion Technology Ltd was incorporated in 1998 and is a successful and innovative Well Completion, Intervention and manufacturing company. Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, Omega is privately owned and has been organically grown to focus specifically on the targeted implementation of bespoke oilfield technologies which position us “ahead of the pack”.

Our possession of 18 granted patents with another 4 in process underlines Omega’s commitment to the continual development of cutting edge downhole technology.

Many of Omega’s products offer the rare combination of mechanical and electronic designs allowing Omega to successfully develop a wide variety of downhole tools and systems. All our products are designed and manufactured in-house using the latest in 3d computer aided design software. In addition to our 3d design capability Omega has also invested in the latest 3d animation and graphical communication software allowing the creation of cutting edge promotional materials such as 3d animations and multimedia presentations.

We are especially proud of our modern machine shop which is extensively equipped with many of the latest C.N.C. Lathes and machining centres.

At the heart of Omega’s success is our experienced team of operations engineers who have been fully trained to diligently service our products onshore, offshore and internationally. By continually monitoring and improving every aspect of our business Omega strives to provide a high quality service and gain a unique understanding of our customers requirements.

Engineering Strengths And Capabilities.

A team of experienced design engineers with a wide cross industry background have repeatedly demonstrated their ability to produce world class tools and designs. Our engineers often respond to customer driven requirements with field ready tools and systems within weeks of the initial concept.
As all required functions are in house (mechanical, electrical, prototyping, testing, batch machining and field deployment), tight control of all aspects of each tool and design enable us to rapidly introduce products to a high standard and with a fit for purpose specification.

Products Include:
• Horizontal well access systems (slickline).
• Non explosive setting tools.
• Completion valves and specialist intervention services.

Markets are North Sea, Africa, Australia, Europe, USA, India and Middle East.

Manufacturing Capacity:
Since 1997 Omega has recognised the benefits of being able to manufacture their own products. It has been this approach that has improved the way products are developed from the prototype stages to the provision of the final products to market.

From its early stages of developing its first product, Omega has committed substantial investment into its continually expanding manufacturing workshop taking it from a development status to full production. The procurement of some of the latest CNC machines with the latest in programming technology has ensured that Omega can provide the highest commitment to its customers with both quality and efficiency.

All manufacture is undertaken in house, with machining in a full range of materials from non-ferrous alloys through to exotic steels and plastics.

A full range of machinery enables the manufacture of Omega`s entire product range, from the smaller internal parts of the Hydrostatic setting tools to the larger completion products. Parts vary from 1/8” through to 9” diameters although capacity exists to turn parts up to 22” in diameter and 7 feet in length.
