Protection Sleeve.
The Omega Protection Sleeve is a low cost method for protecting nipple seal bores and providing extra security during intervention operations through Sub Surface Safety Valves.
The Protection Sleeves can be designed to suit any profile and features a latch to hold the sleeve in position. A locking latch can also be supplied which will prevent the protection sleeve from moving upwards when tripping pipe back through the sleeve.
A standard GS internal profile at the top of the sleeve allows the sleeve to be run and pulled using a standard GS running/pulling tool.
The protection sleeves may also be supplied with an integral running tool, which will carry the sleeve into the well and strip through the sleeve once it has been located in the specific profile. The sleeve will then be picked up on the way back out of the well. This provides a one-trip system, which can be used on both slick line and tubing intervention operations.
The technical specification shown below is for a 3.750” nipple profile protection sleeve. Any size is available for standard and non-standard profiles.
