Selective Choke Valve.
The Selective Choke Valve is a manually actuated downhole device for optimising production from an individual zone.
The device is run as an integral part of the production tubing featuring premium-threaded connections. The tool is shifted from one position to another using industry standard wireline techniques and the appropriate positioning tool. The device is normally positioned between two packers, which isolate the producing zone. The central section of the tool incorporates choke inserts and a set of large ports providing the flow path from producing zone to tubing. An internally located sleeve is shifted to uncover ports relating to the different flowing positions.
The Selective Choke Valve features two sleeves incorporating flow ports, which are sized to meet flow area requirements. Choke inserts manufactured from tungsten carbide are optional, again depending on flow area requirements and expected fluid characteristics.
The Selective Choke Valve features the advanced Zenatecâ„¢ seal technology. This dynamic metal-to-metal sealing system has been qualified through extensive testing under extreme conditions.
